This is a 2-hour long Hippo and Crocodile boat cruise on St Lucia Estuary aboard the new double deck Cruiser passenger ferry – this boat has AMPLE walking space for the avid photographer – is wheelchair, baby and child friendly, has comfortable upholstered seats, our passionate guide on-board will give you an overview of the Eco systems and the animals in it.

We operate our boat-based-whale-dolphin-watching permit in the St Lucia section of the iSimangaliso Wetland Park, together with their legal Hippo and Crocodile Boat Cruise Concession – these concessions are granted by local government , Dept of Environmental Affairs and Tourism Oceans and Coast and iSimangaliso Wetland Park Authority – a huge percentage of the ticket price goes to the iSimangaliso Wetland Park Authority per month in order for them to use it to uplift the community and for environmental reasons and training of new guides – going on one of these vessels you are assured of good quality high standard tours – as to be a legal permit holder the concession holders goes through very stringent codes of conduct and regulations – Cruiser passenger ferry has been in operation since 1998 – these amount of years also indicate for how long our company has passionately operated these tours – whale watching from end May till end Nov annually is a highlight for anyone visiting St Lucia – and the Hippo and Crocodile Boat safari is THE most done activity in St Lucia – this is the closest you will get to the animals/mammals being on a safe permitted vessel – NO REFUNDS WILL BE DONE FOR LAST MINUTE CANCELLATIONS –
CANCELLATION POLICY

This agreement cannot be cancelled except by mutual agreement between our company and the client/guest/lodge. Advantage Tours shall be at liberty in its discretion to charge a cancellation fee or any percentage thereof at:

1. 5% of the tariff – on all cancellations as an administration fee;
2. 10% of the tariff – within two weeks prior to the departure/tour date;
3. 20% of the tariff – within one week prior to the departure/tour date;
4. 100% of the tariff – within 24 hours prior to the departure/tour date.

The Client accepts that these cancellation terms are reasonable and fair.

Covid-19 sanitizing protocol in place. Social distancing will be followed by, for now, removing some chairs off the vessel, allowing for the social distance, and asking guests to adhere to it. Ample sanitizers will be available. BE AT THE DEPARTURE POINT A FULL 30 MINUTES PRIOR TO DEPARTURE – late arrivals no refund

Meals, drinks; however there is a tuck shop and cash bar on board where refreshments can be purchased.

Please note that for the 08h00am hippo and boat trip, a minimum of 10 people is required in order for this trip to take place. The boat will not run an 08h00am trip without 10 people minimum. If you are less than 10, you will be booked for the next time slot.
